Browse our courses and starting dates to choose your course and find the perfect start date, then fill out the application form.
Didn’t make the payment during registration? No problem! Just confirm your course name and start date by emailing us at info@hlschool.hu.
For Non-Beginners
Already know some Hungarian? Great! Join an ongoing course starting the next Monday after completing your placement tests.
Deadline: Registration and payment must be completed by the Monday before the course starts. Your spot is guaranteed once payment is received.
Placement Tests
Our courses run all year round, so you can begin or continue your Hungarian learning journey at any time!
Before starting your test, please take a moment to think about how many Hungarian lessons you’ve had before — this helps us place you in the right group.
Test details:

A1 & A2 levels: 35 questions each

B1 & B2 levels: 20 questions each

Please answer all questions (unanswered ones count as incorrect)

Test time: about 20–35 minutes, depending on your skills

Results: sent automatically by email once you finish
After receiving your results, simply follow the link in the email to book your oral interview.

A1 - A2 Level
Choose this test if you have had 20 - 240 Hungarian lessons before.
Please complete the placement test first. After submitting it, you will automatically receive an email with a link to book your oral interview.

Choose this test if you have had 240 - 360 Hungarian lessons before.
Please complete the placement test first. After submitting it, you will automatically receive an email with a link to book your oral interview.
